Comfort Masters Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning in Wheeling always talks about how our service techs are NATE-certified, and while it sounds reassuring, what does it truly mean?
NATE stands for North American Technician Excellence and, according to their website, is the nation’s largest certification organization for HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and refrigeration technicians. The organization was developed nearly 20 years ago and is supported by the entire HVAC and refrigeration industry but not all people in the industry are required to be certified by NATE. The certification is discretionary and technicians can work in the heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration industry without being certified by NATE.
It’s important to Comfort Masters Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning that our technicians are NATE-certified to make sure we are sending the most qualified and trained technicians into your home. To make sure technicians meet these benchmarks, the NATE-certification exams validate real-world working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based assessments that assess the technician’s knowledge of these subjects.
Since Comfort Masters Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses on the HVAC side of NATE-certification and not refrigeration, there are only particular areas applicable to our technicians. NATE exam candidates may receive installation and/or service certification in one or more of the talent areas listed below:
